Communications Coordinator - Geoff Stonefish

The communications department is responsible for the overall communications strategy of the organization while also providing assistance and direction on specific initiatives and events that arise with respect to communication.  The primary goal of the department is to ensure that information is communicated to the appropriate audience via the most effective format in a timely manner.  This ranges from the hard copy quarterly newsletter to our social media outlets.

Other goals for this department are as follows:

  • Establish and maintain a web identity
  • Create and distribute a quarterly newsletter
  • Increase profile
  • Standardize and concentrate messaging
  • Utilize technology


Society is often presented with only one side of the story with respect to many issues affecting our Member Nations.  AIAI seeks to provide the other side of the story or First Nations perspective regarding these many issues to the largest audience possible.  The organization welcomes inquiries from it's Member Nations, media, and the public and will facilitate interviews and dialogue where ever possible.
