AIAI CONGRATULATES ELECTED INDIGENOUS LEADERSHIP

For Immediate Release:

June 6, 2012

London, ON – The Association of Iroquois and Allied Indians (AIAI) congratulates Grand Chief Patrick Madahbee on his re-election for Anishnabek Nation and Grand Chief Warren White on his election for Grand Council of Treaty #3.

Grand Chief Gord Peters stated, “We have much important work ahead of all of us and I anticipate continuing to work closely with Grand Chief Madahbee and Grand Chief White to shape a better future for all of our Peoples.”

Once Nishnabe Aski Nation (NAN)’s elections are finalized in the immediate future, leadership will be firmly in place for the AIAI, Anishnabek Nation, Grand Council of Treaty #3, and NAN.  The next few years promise to be a productive time since all organizations bring a great deal of experience and fire to the table.

The AIAI is mandated as a political territorial organization to defend and enhance the Indigenous and Treaty rights of its eight member First Nations.  Visit them online at www.aiai.on.ca , https://twitter.com/#!/aiai_comms , www.facebook.com/aiai.pto , www.youtube.com/user/AIAIAdmin .
