Position: Reception Clerk

Hours: 35 hours/week

Term: Permanent Full-Time

Salary Range: $14.03 – $15.56 based on experience

Closing Date: April 18th, 2017 @4:30pm

ACCOUNTABILITY AND SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the direction of the Nurse in Charge and/or the Health Administrator the Reception/Clerk will greet all incoming victors, direct all visitors to the appropriate service provider, answer and direct telephone calls, take messages, schedule appointments, perform clerical duties, assist with health records maintenance and complete other duties as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Must have a grade 12 or equivalency and provide a copy of diploma
  2. Must have minimum of two (2) years of working experience with a wide variety of office equipment e.g. Fax machine, lamination machine, photocopier, etc.
  3. Must be computer literate and have working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Coral 8, Internet and Outlook
  4. Must have good understand of various filing systems
  5. Must have experience using a multi-lined telephone system
  6. Must have the ability to maintain self-composure in stressful/emergency situations
  7. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  8. Must have excellent customer service skills

OTHER RELATED DUTIES

  1. Pick up and deliver mail; date stamp and distribute mail accordingly on a daily basis
  2. Maintain electronic medical record system, media notices (facebook, eyelook, marquee)
  3. Support staff with flyer development documents
  4. Must maintain confidentiality at all times.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

The successful applicant will provide a recent (within 1 yr) CPIC-vulnerable screening, at own expense, before starting employment.
